March 8th is celebrated as International Women’s Day. On this occasion, MaidHub had celebrated international women’s day program with women working in domestic help sector.
MaidHub India Pvt. Ltd. having its core business in to Domestic Staffing Solutions, Training & Facility Management Services. Our CSR wing is working for women’s health and rights in the marginalized areas of Metro and Major cities in India.
Women working as domestic helping staff have long working hours, often quite laborious, all to financially support their families. Moreover, they are not always treated with respect and dignity from their employers and tend to have low morale. Women in this sector are often neglected and overlooked when it comes to women empowerment. To bring about an awareness that women’s economic and social rights should be duly respected irrespective of their background, MaidHub had organized this special drive for empowerment of domestic helping staff. The program was consist of talks from eminent lawyers and social workers on subject of domestic violence, legal aid and women’s empowerment. The aim was also to give a platform for women from domestic help sector to voice their experiences and opinions. There was also a cultural program which was include participants who were working as domestic help. The program aims to empower these women and improve their self-image, building their confidence. The program was also include felicitation of women working in the domestic help sector. More than 200 domestic helpers had enjoyed the program and participated in various cultural activities.
